Admission Process – For Sponsored Full-time/ Part-time candidates
Employee(s) directly sponsored by Central/ State Government/ Undertakings may be allowed admission to Full-time (Two Years)/ Part-time (Three Years) Master‘s Degree Program. However, such candidates are not eligible for any Scholarship.
The Part-time admitted candidates are required to attend classes with full-time regular candidates only, therefore the departments are preferably required to plan and schedule classes of registered courses of Part- time candidates in morning or evening as per feasibility.
At least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in Bachelor’s degree examination in Engineering, Technology or Architecture. Candidates seeking admission under sponsored category must have completed at least 2 years‘ regular service (as permanent employee).

- Defense or other Ministries of the Government of India or any other Government organization.
- Established industries Research and Development Organization as may be recognized by the Institute from time to time.

- Universities and recognized technical institutions, which are not covered by the QIP Scheme.
- Working in approved project/ research programmers at NIT Patna as Research fellows in sponsored projects.
