M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. is abbreviation for Master’s of Engineering, Masters of Technology, Master’s of Science respectively. It’s a post graduate degree course. Now a days, Health Safety Environment (HSE) professionals are grooming themselves by acquiring higher education in this field. This is good for their knowledge enhancement as well as for career perspective, as it can take them to higher level in career positions at Industries, Plants, Education sector etc. Today’s blog includes the list of colleges which provide Master’s courses in HSE and allied field in India.
Admission Process for M.Tech./M.E./M.Sc
Merit-Based: The merit-based admission to the course is done directly on the basis of score obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination. Some colleges also prepare a cut off list based on the qualifying examination for admission.
Entrance-Based: The entrance based admission to the course is done on the basis of score obtained by the candidate at a national level, state level or college level entrance exams. The admission is done through the counseling process.
The Supreme Court has clearly passed an order saying that the M. Tech program in distance learning mode is not considered valid and cannot be allowed by any university or institute to include in their curriculum.
The main reason behind this decision is that the course structure of the M.Tech program mostly includes subjects that require practical study in the college like the regular mode course.
After this decision of the Supreme Court, both AICTE and UGC followed the order of the Supreme Court and declared the program of B.Tech and M.Tech distance education as invalid courses.

- Applicants should have passed degree B.E./B.Tech. Degree from a recognized University Board with acquired a minimum aggregate of 55% in the qualifying exam with all th subjects put together.
