Master’s Course in Environment means Master’s of Technology , Master’s of Engineering & Master’s of Science i.e. M.Tech., M.E. & M.Sc. Now a days, several Safety professionals want to upgrade themselves towards Environment also and wants to be versatile, so they are searching for Environment Courses. In lieu of that this blog is being made. Environment professionals are already opting these courses for higher studies in their respective fields. The Supreme Court has clearly passed an order saying that the M. Tech program in distance learning mode is not considered valid and cannot be allowed by any university or institute to include in their curriculum.
The main reason behind this decision is that the course structure of the M.Tech program mostly includes subjects that require practical study in the college like the regular mode course.
After this decision of the Supreme Court, both AICTE and UGC followed the order of the Supreme Court and declared the program of B.Tech and M.Tech distance education as invalid courses.
Admission & Entrance Exam for M.Tech / M.E.
– M.Tech. aspirants need to appear for CUCET. The Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is an all-India test is being organized for admission to various Integrated/Under-Graduate, Post Graduate and Research Programmes in several Central Universities and State Universities of India
– For admission to the M.Tech. course, candidates have to qualify GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) and participate in CCMT counselling. CCMT (Centralized Counselling for MTech / MArch/ MPlan) is an online admission and counselling process for admissions to the MTech / MArch/ MPlan programmes offered by National Institutes of Technologies (NITs)
-Eligible candidates need to appear for Assam Engineering College Post Graduate Entrance Examination (AEC PG Entrance Examination).
Eligibility Criteria:
- For M.Tech., candidate must pass in Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology with relevant discipline from recognized university.
- At least 60% marks or 6.5 CPI/CGPA (55% marks or 6 CPI/CGPA needed for SC/ST/PWD category)
- For M.Tech., candidate with valid CUCET/ GATE score is considered for admission.
Admission & Entrance Test for M.Sc.
- For M.Sc., candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline from recognized university.
- Post Graduate admission in this institution is done through departmental entrance examinations notified openly beforehand by the respective departments
- For the M.Sc. program, the admission is made through CCMN counselling. CCMN stands for Centralised Counselling for M.Sc. and is conducted for students who want to get admission in NITs after clearing the IIT JAM exam based on the JAM score.
- Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) is an all-India examination conducted across the country jointly by Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian Institute of Science. JAM is an all India Entrance examination for admission to M.Sc.
